FAQ
Will you ever offer in-person sessions?
Yes! At this time, sessions are offered through telehealth. Looking ahead, the plan is to open a Tucson office to welcome clients for in-person care
Are you available on evenings and weekends?
Yes! When you Book An Appointment, you will be directed to a calendar with the current availability.
What is the cost for therapy?
The initial 60-minute session, which includes a comprehensive intake assessment, is $150. Each 53-minute follow-up session is $125. Acceptable forms of payment are: debit, credit, HSA, or FSA cards. Superbills are available upon request for insurance reimbursement.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! I am currently accepting Aetna, Meritain, and United Healthcare.
Does it matter where I live?
All that matters is that you live somewhere in Arizona. Many of my clients are from the Tucson area, including Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and Vail. Others from outside the area are often in Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Carefree, Queen Creek, Gilbert, or Scottsdale.
What kind of groups do you offer?
I offer DBT groups that consist of four modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Skills. This is not group therapy where you discuss your problems with others. Instead, think of it more like a teaching and learning group in a classroom setting.
Do you work with couples and families?
I can provide some referral options if you would like, but I only work with individuals.
Do you work with individuals for reasons other than depression, anxiety, and insomnia?
Yes! I have experience working with individuals who struggle from depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress, fear, isolation, lack of motivation, trauma, anger, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, and other issues that interfere with everyday life.
Will you provide a Good Faith Estimate?
Yes! In December 2020, Congress passed the No Surprises Act, which protects you from unexpected medical bills. A key part of this law is the Good Faith Estimate (GFE), which offers price transparency for healthcare services.
Who is covered? The GFE applies to clients who are uninsured or those choosing not to use their insurance for a specific service (sometimes called "cash-pay").
What is it? It's an upfront document that estimates the total charges you can expect to pay for your scheduled healthcare services before your appointment.
When did this start? Since January 1, 2022, state-licensed healthcare providers are legally required to provide this estimate to all eligible new and returning clients.
